From a freak hailstorm, to cloudy skies (perfect for outdoor shots), to my neighborhood and garden, and an undefeated season of soccer celebration.
That's our grandson in black flexing his muscles. The conclusion of an undefeated season. Photo by his mom.
This is how the week began, a freak hailstorm and pounding rain. Looking across the street. Minor flood in our garage.
But all the rain, overcast sky, and bit of sun led to this shot today, my rose and wildflower garden along the street. Background are the neighbors’ three rhododendrons.
The neighborhood has never looked so good. Oregon Iris in another neighbor’s yard which is dedicated to native species of the Northwest.
Fun with yellow—the car, the mailbox, the yellow flowers from the native species garden.
Layers and layers of mature rhododendrons. Trying not to think about the fire danger later in the summer with so much green now.
Panning out you can see the fence which is a great backdrop to the garden, and flags identifying newly replanted areas.
Flowers everywhere. Telephoto shots collapses the layers, which is how it looks walking by it.
A walk by the meadow at Gabriel Park nearby. The dark clouds prevented too much brightness in these shots, letting the colors glow.
Those are fabulous photos. Have I already asked you what sort of camera you use?
You wouldn't believe how often I walk by this view on my hike through the woods without taking a shot, but this was too good to pass up.
